1. State of the art, project management and documentation#
This week I worked on defining my final project idea and started to getting used to the documentation process.
Research#
New fabrication techniques are becoming an useful tool for diffferent industries not only to develop fast prototiping but also as a way to test emerging materials, thats why i want to use some of this fabrication techniques to 3d print fibers and maybe create garments.
Electrospinning technique could fit this desire since this technique is able to extrude fibers out of a polymer solution, eventhough this technique is way to expensive due to the high voltaje that it requires to electrospun the fibers. I have found some prototypes of diy electrospining machines but all of them still using an external power source which still expensive.
