11. Soft robotics#

This week I worked on soft robotics by using bag sealing machine, some plastic bags and a bag sealer

So i designed a pattern and i transferred to the bag using a pencil or a marker, then i used a piece of paper or fabric let an open channel to let flow the air between the two chambers creater by heat sealing. Having as a result something like this:

Then i connected a hose at the first open canal

On the other side, the hose was connected to a 12v air pump.

This air pump was feed by a 12v battery

Conclusion#

It was an easy example about how to create easy soft robotics using a bag sealing, an air pump and a 12 v battery

i have designed a gripper mold to cast sillicon, which can be also used for soft robotics
