The technical dispositif device (G. Agamben) fills in different and complementary functions and aesthetics. The device wasn’t designed for the area of the ear but for different surfaces on the body or on the space where we are, it produces sound.
For Each module from the final object, I have following the differents steps of (research, providers, materials, technics, machines, related story and project) and iterations to manage the technic. Each module is a project or could be a project. Depends to the complexity of the knwoledge, the tools, the instructor, the budget, I have a good result or not.

The device integrates a circuit that I designed with Eagle, for which I also assembled my own multilayered conductive material with capton and copper shield that I stuck together.
The flexible pcb is an OP AMP with a LM4861 component (surface-mounted). The multilayered substrat is laser-cut and assembled in the fablab. Also I want to integrated the communication cable for the sound (jack) by sewing conductive thread directly on the modular garment.
I am in the process of testing designs to make my own speaker, for which I am testing differents coils patterns and membranes in interaction with the magnet.
For the moment, the device could play sound as a speaker and/or work as a portable microphone. To be define (Electred mic vs MEMs Mic). To integrate the device to the user’s body, I still need to design a shape that allows me to plug different electronic modules inside. This is the modular part.
One of my goals, after mastering the bioplastic production process, is to mobilise this technic to integrate better my electronic device on the body. At the moment I’m not planing to make a business out of my final project. I need more investigation on the ergonomie of the “object” as a dissemination plan I can kick started a community wether or not the bioplastics I have learned to make during fabricademy are safe for the human body.
I’m already part of a community composed of “designer” who work of different filed of design, I could bring up a collaboration project with friends or collegues who are designers. They could be happy to included the device in their own fashion show.
Also I would like to send of the community different part of the project because is very cheap to produce and it could be a good gift.

Retroschedule MAP collection :#
For the retroschedule, for this project I don’t work with the classical way, from the contraints of production. I have worked like a performated fabrication sequency of serials tests to find combination of process : each day I favorite the tests protocoles. Then, after a sequency of weeks and trials with success and mystakes, I have a result. In this design experiment process I have favorised the technic than the shape or the product result. My practice of design is an everyday exercice, and this passion of the fabricating process will be continue after this sequency of tests. I hope so !

Electronics time matter |
In this way the intention of the project was more important than the result.
The start of the project was like an non-usefull goal, I wouldlike to find what I can do with the components in the lab to explore the sound device world.
The project take 2 mounth to learn how the electronic part work and 2 days for the global shape.

Context of my research for the product#
- Contexte 1 : The user context for our everyday life, in the subway, the car, the street, each morning, people listen to music.
- Contexte 2 : The second user context what I was interested to follow up, is for an interaction between machine and human at the lab.
- Important, all my work here, is more than make a final product but my goal is to make a research to know better the question of innovation e-textile or bio-design context today. In our (fab)lab network context, this question of innovation can be visible through the production of a re-make industrials standard tools for our every day life. That’s why my goal isn’t to make a final good product, but a good process of production in the fablab digiscope context. I insist about research because it’s my first interest to explore the different possibilities that we could have to make the soft circuit.
Function and Functionning#
- Listen music, alone and together : a surface to listen music for ourself and to switch for a group of people.
- The device si composed by : an OP amp, an input with a jack, an output with different kind of speakers
- I would like to add different part to control the device like a potentiometer

To develop after the fabricademy’s context#
I’m interested about how the music can be a tool, our tool to survive day by day in our routine with the context of multiples crises. I’m interested about the “care” notion, how the design can be a process to take care about people and earth through the process of the production for fashion design, product design etc… Maybe as Matali Crasset says “les poussées technologiques donnent de nouvelles façon d’être au monde”.

Design oriented process :#
My experimental ways to explore those many technics bring me to make that project :
It’s not a jewellery, it’s not a product, it’s not a garment, it’s not a skin, it’s not a hat, but it could be. It’s a SURFACE in 2D or 3D.
