7. Computational Couture¶
This week we learned about perimetric design and using Grasshopper on Rhino3D and 3D printers to make our designs.
Tests¶
3D printing on Fabric¶
My first test was on a red elastic tulle fabric. Hairspray was sprayed on the bed of the 3D printer to hold the fabric down and filaflex filament to print.

Failures¶
- Used a mesh I found on Thingiverse, exploded it to change delete small parts and that made holes in the mesh, which apparantly is hard to fix. Tried "MeshRepair" to fill the holes, but it did not help, because there were too many holes.
