Molded¶
Molded is an exploration utilizing slime mold and swarming behavior to generate new forms. The crown was generated through slime mold logic in Grasshopper and Rhino. Twenty-one evenly distributed points were fed into Grasshopper, and the slime mold definition chose to create a crown complete with a place for a stone to be set. This slime mold project was calling out to adorn the body. It was printed out on an Ultimaker Printer as a crown and two cuffs.
Molded imagines a world where decomposers such as slime mold are cherished.
This piece was designed in Rhino and Grasshopper using the Nuclei plugin. It was printed out on an Ultimaker printer using transparent filament.
