7. Computational Couture¶
With this assignment I had great expectations of myself and that made me unable to be 100% myself. Although every time I understand more rhino it is still costing me a lot although by a miracle grasshopper I understand in a better way and I can get closer to what I want to express.
A company that seems to me to do very well manufacturing textiles with 3d printers in Spain and we have it quite close here in the Basque Country is commedesmachines that achieves very good results and experimentations.

In confinement I bought a 3D printer and just printing on fabric was my goal but I realized several things, the first was the expense and how slow the printer was. with a very large energy and economic expense. Although I still think that it is a very useful tool, I cannot stop specifying those details of the computational couture. But if using grasshopper and being able to predict movements and growth seems to me a wonderful tool that although many people had told me how difficult it is, I was afraid at first but once I was inside I loved it and I understood it more easily than the same tools in rhino.

This is my first success grasshopper file, I am very proud and also was very easy to do it and fun as well to play with playing with all the possibilities, it was not very complicated and in a file to download you will see the step by step and what to use to do it.

Voronoi¶
With these files I wanted to complicate myself a little more and it was a half success now I tell you why.
My intention here was to use Voronoi and create those shapes within a pattern of a bra and although I managed to grow it inside
to be able to play with it, I could not make the walls thicker to print it in 3d, I could use it and laser cut for example a bioplastic and that it was in a fabric or create a mold with it.
