11. Implications and applications¶
My first jewelry collection was inspired by Palestinian embroidery. The jewelry collection was widely welcomed by the public, people were thirsty to see this art in a completely new way that combined craft, heritage, jewelry, contemporary designs and modern manufacturing techniques. This reaction motivates me today to present a collection of fashion that combines once again Palestinian embroidery and modern manufacturing techniques. These are some of the ideas that were in my mind in the form of pieces of clothing, which I learned over the past months, ways to manufacture.
Design: Understand how to develop a concept and service model
Documentation: Stakeholders analysis, Service description, Personalisation options
Safi crafts: Safi Crafts produces handmade, eco-friendly textiles using natural dyes inspired by local tradition, history and heritage of Jordan. The products are all hand painted, dyed and embroidered by the women of Ghor El Safi in the Jordan Valley. Using native plants and the earth to produce the dyes, Safi Crafts produces unique contemporary designs with each piece telling a story.
Final outcome: The product/service/experience is defined and ready to be presented to potential stakeholders
