GRASSHOPPER¶
For me this is totaly new experience. I will try to share some steps how to start with Grasshopper.
Installing the Plugins¶
Here is the list of the plugins to start in this course:
- Weaverbird (in Package Manager)
- Bowerbird (in Package Manager)
- Chromodoris
- Lunchbox
- Mesh Edit
- bifocals
- Mesh tools (couldn't find)
Steps:
- Weaverbird and Bowerbird plugins are in Grasshopper Package Manager, just type this command in Rhinoceros and do the search, install.
- For other plugins go to Food for Rhino and register.
- Go under "GRASSHOPPER APPS" and search for each plugin. Find the newest your platforms version and download.
- For these plugins you will need to do couple of steps
- In Grasshopper go to File → Special Folders → Components Folder, here you will upload plugins files.
- Then plugin is downloaded, open your "Downloads" folder and with right mouse click on file open "Properties" window. Here you should activate the Security: "Unblock" tick box, so Grasshopper would see the file.
- Now upload this file to "Components Folder".
- Repeat with other plugins.
For "Mesh Edit" and "Lunchbox" plugins you should upload unzipped folder and for "Lunchbox" to run the installer application.
