2. Digital bodies



INSPARATION !

PAINTING

When I was looking at Guinnes World Records 2010 many years ago, I saw a painting by Lucian Freud.

Then, 10 years ago, I was sculpting this one.

I try to figure out the beautiful body. I don't think the body should be skinny; every body has aesthetics. I think we should think more about beauty. If the mannequin has all types of bodies, I think it will be so beautiful.



I think the aesthetic is in all types of bodies.

3D DIGITAL BODY

MAKEHUMAN IS AN SOFTEARE TO MAKE ANATOMY OF DIGITAL BODIES WITH SIMPLE TOOLS.WE KNOW AND MAKEHUMAN, THEN LEARN HOW TO USE IT.

We download it, then we make DIGITAL BODY with this amazing software!

We exported it as a stl file and shared it in Sketchfab.

SLICER FOR FUSION 360

SLICER FOR FUSION 360

I think this software makes life easier! You can separate any 3D model of life into parts.


We use Slicer for Fusion as software to make it separate.

  • We import the model into the slicer.
  • I use interlocked slices.
  • Waste of wood material thickness 4.4 mm
  • Hight: 350 mm
  • It's taking one board from
  • waste material with these dimensions.
  • The size of the printer bed is 600 x 1000 mm.

The program is organized into separate parts on the sheet, as it is in the bed of the laser cut.

LASER CUT


The laser cut settings for MDF wood cutting.



  • We should have a 2D vector (DESIGN) (svg,dxf,pdf, etc.).
  • Then we have a standard color in the lab for the laser machine.
  • Ex: Red for cut, Black or Blue for engraving.
  • We select a specific color for each line of the job.

  • Before cutting the design, we place the material and specify the focus between the bed and the board.

  • Then we send the job for the printer to print in the Job Trotec.

  • We test different settings with different power and speed.
  • The test of power and speed depends on the thickness and type of material.
  • The last thing we start is printing, and don't forget to turn on the vacuum.

SCULPTING WITH CLAY

I use waste material to make this (wood, thickness 4.4 mm). Then, glue it and put clamps.

after connecting the parts together of the sliced human body with some wood glue and clamps, I added a layer of clay and used my hands and tools for sculpting to sculpt the shape of a human being.





I finally covered the shape with clay and used some tools to shape my body.

3D SCANNER


We use a 3D SENSE scanner to scan an object mannequin and for a scan portrait of ourselves.

General workflow to work with 3d scanner:

  1. Prepare the object: Place the object on a stable surface with good lighting, where you can walk around.

  2. Set up the scanner: launch the 3D Sense scanner app on your laptop and connect it to your device

  3. Position the scanner and 3d scanning process: be sure you keep an appropriate distance from your object and move slowly when scanning around the object.

  4. Review and edit the scan: Once the scanning is complete, you can preview the mesh on the application and decide to clean the mesh up with the tools available

  5. Save or export the scan: Save the 3D scan file in the desired format (e.g., STL, OBJ).

We used the 3D scanner to scan this mannequin.

Through the scanning software, we acquired the mesh, and after cleaning it up, we exported the STL file.

We learn how to use the 3D scanner, then we scan each other, and I try to scan this manequin.

WE TRY RHINO !

RHINO _IS A TOOL TO MAKE OR EDIT YOUR 3D OR 2D DESIGN AND DO MANY AMAZING THINGS FOR YOUR DESIGN.

Then we use RHINO to scale up and scale down the human body and cut some parts of the body.

  • First, we import the stl file.
  • Then we use polyline to cut the part we don't need.
  • We select mesh to split.


SCULPTURE

WHY IS SHE SO BELOVED?

WHAT IS THE DNA OF VENUS? If we separate Venus into two parts, what we will find inside Mabey is just DNA. I think the aesthetics are in all types of bodies.
