Dress

preparation

sketching my dress design ideas using Photoshop, visualizing how I want my dress to look.

I began creating my corset by drafting the pattern, ensuring precision. Once the pattern was complete, I cut out each piece, using lasercutter Trotec Speedy400.

  • Speed: For mesh fabric, speeds was 200 mm/s.
  • Power: lower power level of 100 watts to 500 watts for clean cuts without damaging the material.

Afterward, I took the time to add notes and instructions to each piece. These detailed guidelines provided the tailor with clear direction on how to sew the pieces together, ensuring that the final corset would fit perfectly.

Assembly: Sew the panels together using a sewing machine or by hand, following the design layout. This typically involves stitching the panels along their edges to create the structure of the corset. i gave instructions and the guidelines to the tailor to have it assembled as i wish.

Boning: Insert boning channels into the corset to provide structure and support. Boning was made of plastic.

Finishing: Finish the edges of the corset by folding and sewing them to create a clean and polished look. Add any necessary closures.
