Our GeologicaL era is the Anthropocene - - human impact on earth : Sustanability is no enought, it is time to regenerate, to heal and to give back what we have damage as human beigns. The question why we do what we do, and how we do it is necesary before we create, desing, etc.

Archive & documetation

Its necessary to document and generate an archive of the work we develop during the program. There are some tools that will aloud us to do it in a way that we can share every little detail, sucess and failures. Also we are able to see how previous participans did it, thanks to the wonders of => Open source: software developed and maintained through open collaboration. It is made available for anyone to use.

Fabricademy open source platforms:

  • Mattermost: open source chat tool - to communicate with instructors and other participants
  • Nueval: evaluation platform
  • Gitlab: documetation platform

𖦹 Notes & thoughs 𖦹

  • get inspire by previews particpants => Paula and Lara => i loved watching my actual node partners

  • Dont panic honey - ask por help! => my node partnes Laura and Ainhoa were very generous and helpful with me during this assigment. Same as my Paula, my local instructor, and Julian the assigment instructor.

  • Patience => the platform takes its time to update if you get stuck with out pipeline failures sometimes you just have to reboot your computer, or log out and log in form gitlab

  • personal experience: im a very handy and crafty persona (until now?). This was the first time i use codes so this first asigment was a big challenge for me. I felt frustated, impacient, excited, really happy, proud of my self, all at the same time. :)
