Research & Ideation

Somwhere safe and away

made with Visualist
Right now, I focus my work on exploring the natural, botanical, and floral world, with a special focus on the creation of artwork that portrays that line that separates and, at the same time, unites the dream world (dreams) with the tangible world (represented in the form of flowers). Behind my focus on using natural elements and florals hide a rich source of inspiration. My biggest influencers are Cho Gi-Seok and his mastery in capture the similarity between the botanical world and the human body, as well as the evocative artistic pieces by James T. Merry. On the other hand, photographer Chiron Duong, with his ability to capture movement and creating a sensation of fading through textures and fabrics, becomes one of my greatest references in my creative process.

Tools

During our first we have received several tutorials on how to prepare our documentation and make it our own. For these we have different tools we can use so we can make out of this web a reflection of ourselves. Here we can find some of the best tools we will be using for getting inspired, the costumasitation of our images and preparing our material.

Platforms

We will be working with different platforms throughout the whole course. Here we can find some of the most important ones.

Feelings

This first week has been really exciting. I first started with no expectations and even though I would´ve have them, Fabricademy has totally exceeded them. Our instructor at the BDC has been amazing so far. She is a very dinamic person and has put a lot of effort to make us feel comfortable and make us enjoy our time here. My colleagues here are wonderful people to work with and being all so different will make the experience here much more enriching.

I am looking forward to keep working with this amazing team.
