πŸ“– Final Video Storytelling

At the beginning, my 11-year-old sister sits down with the book Threads of Tradition in her hands. As she begins reading, the voice of an old man starts narrating the legends. Softly in the background, the music β€œShushiki” by Komitas creates a deep connection to history and culture, with the gentle sound of a page turning adding to the nostalgic atmosphere.

Here are some frames illustrating the opening scene, where the girl sits with the book Threads of Tradition, seen from behind.

Research Image Research Image As my sister reads, the book’s animation begins. Every page comes to life with unique animations, and key words from the text animate as well. These words float in the air, highlighting important parts of the story, glowing and shifting with the rhythm of the voice.

The music grows subtly as the story unfolds, blending perfectly with the soothing sound of the page flipping. The animation and the words animate the legends, bridging the viewer with Armenia's rich traditions and history.

The video ends with the peaceful sound of a page turning, and the music fades into quiet.

How-Tos & Tutorials

During this part of my project, I focused on two main techniques that are very important in Armenian traditional crafts: embroidery and natural dyeing. Both of these methods helped me connect more deeply with cultural heritage and express it through my own creative process.

Below you can see videos about the process, where I show step-by-step how I worked on embroidery and natural dyeing. These tutorials give a closer look into the techniques and can help anyone who wants to try them too!
