10 Video script

Concept

The narrative of my video is centered on women as inventors. Based on this, the video will be shot in the biolab, and in all scenes, I will be using mushroom cultures and luminescent powder pigments to enhance bioluminescence. The idea of my video is to be in a dark space with focal points of light highlighting the creation of luminous objects and the living organisms.

Scene 1:

  • Question: What if we live in collaboration with fungi, bacterias or insects?

  • Scene: A woman mixing two components in a laboratory with a light focus in her hands, the image gradually darkens and the container in fluorescent green. The gloves absorb the bioluminescence and focus it, then initiate a transition with different images of the fungus at multiple scales, similar to the following video.

Scene 2:

Growing bioluminescence

  • Zoom of hands with gloves inoculate a fungus culture in a petri dish.
  • Terrarium, a zoom occurs and, the mushroom cultures begin to appear in motion. The space has different glass containers with substrate and luminescence.

  • The image of the mushrooms is in a natural tone with a tech effect. It darkens intermittently until bioluminescence appears.

Scene 3:

Bioluminescent Rainforest

  • Simulation of a forest with fluorescent plants (light-dark)

  • Transition: Video of the forest with spots of light and darkness areas.

Scene 4:

Bioluminescent & final product

  • Video of glassblowing appears, the a petri dish with cultures, water and fluorescent paint simulating mycelium growth.
  • A transition is created to the bioluminescent fungus in the substrate, microscope movment images and final product.

  • It ends with the title of the project.
