After collecting the papery skins of yellow onions for about a year, I finally took the time to put in an order for the materials I would need to dye with them. I chose some cotton items since so far I have only worked with silk and wool, and I know my vegan friends are looking for things they can use too. I also invested in mordants I would need to get the colors I wanted, or at least I hope I get. Since there can be a fair amount of variation working with natural dyes, you never know 100%.

I’ll show some final products later, but look at this beautiful fabric and colors already emerging after about 15 minutes in the dye.
