Concept of the Biodegradable Sanitary Pads Project
This project introduces biodegradable sanitary pads made from banana fibers, providing an eco-friendly and affordable solution for menstruating individuals, especially in low-resource settings.It transforms local agricultural waste into safe, soft, and absorbent pads using a custom-designed mold and sterilization process. The initiative promotes menstrual health equity, reduces environmental impact, and empowers underserved communities.
