About me

Hi there!

Nice to see you here

I want to welcome you to the record of my experience throughout Fabricademy. So, let’s begin!

First, let me introduce myself. I’m Neyla, from a small town in Colombia called Bucaramanga, and I’m an architect. Where I come from, there are many beautiful landscapes and places to just contemplate nature, as Colombia is very biodiverse. I've always felt connected to nature, and as I grew older, so did my desire to take care of the environment.

I’m passionate about sustainability and doing my part to stop damaging the world, as harming nature ultimately harms ourselves. I deeply believe in cooperating with our natural surroundings. Along the way, I also found another passion—teaching software courses. Teaching, I’ve discovered, is one of the best ways to learn and develop new skills.

Now that you know a little more about me, let’s continue...

How did I get here?

I became curious about 3D printing while studying for my bachelor’s degree in architecture. I started experimenting with it and liked it so much that I began printing project models and accessories like earrings, necklaces, and rings for fun. After a while, I found myself unhappy in my job, so I decided to quit and start a brand focused on 3D-printed jewelry with an emphasis on sustainability and technology—a rare concept in my hometown.

However, I didn’t want to stop there. I dreamed of creating a sustainable clothing line. When I heard about Fabricademy, I knew immediately it was the perfect program to help me and my work grow. I can’t hide my excitement; it’s a fantastic opportunity for both my career and my brand, my “baby."

Previous work

IMPREZO / 3D PRINTED JEWELRY

I created a brand which I want to be completely sustainable from the material through the delivery services where all collections are inspired by nature and simply what’s found in the universe, so the first collection is called ‘Origen’ which translates to Origin, because is the brand being born, is where it all starts and all pieces have names related to what inspired them, such as Flora, Nebula & Supernova.

The second collection was mostly inspired by movement and is called ´Amazonas´ because Colombia is one of the countries where you can find the Amazon rainforest, and it plays such a critical role in local and global climate, and the pieces’ names are related to it, such as Heliconia, Titi & Rio (as river).
