Sketches - Swatches

Sketching and prototyping began after finalizing the idea and completing the first draft of the concept.

From January 15th to January 27th, I focused on translating my initial vision into tangible forms for fabrication electronics. This process involved:

  • Sketching

  • Prototyping

  • Iterative Process
  • Experimentation

This phase was crucial in bridging the gap between concept and reality, setting the foundation for innovative, interactive, and functional designs.

And I want to share with you the qway I used to work in my garments by steps

Adult Garment

STEP ONE Visual Mood board

I started working on this garment by researching similar designs to what I have in my mind this helped me visualize the concept more clearly and made sketching the idea much easier.

These designs all share the same concept I want to present which is broken pieces the thing in my design is I want to mimic the shattered glass to show the feeling of being broken..

STEP TWO Drawing the pattern

I started drawing the pattern with thoughts of sharpness, shattered pieces, and connections, symbolizing that it won’t remain broken forever.

STEP THREE Fabricate the pattern

I started drawing random pieces on Fusion 360 using one my mood board's picture

I insert the picture then fix the sise of it

I start taking the shapes form the pieces in the picture

then I extrude it using extrude tool

I export the file as STL File thenn I open open with Cura !!

Here are the setting I used to get the best result as transparet pieces !

Setting Value
Layer Height 0.3
Wall Line Count 1
Top/Bottom Thickness 0.2
Top Layers 1
Bottom Layers 1
Print Speed 20
Fan Speed 50

I used neutral clear filament

here I tried to iron the surface layer so I got another effecr

The differences in effect depend on the shape and the distance between the light and the shape.
