Previous work

I made multifunctional trouser called next-gene bottoms. This is a type of trouser designed and operated in a way that promotes sustainable practices, securing resources for future generations.
The purpose of this design is to reduce overconsumption of clothing, which leads to garment waste and landfill problems. It is made from natural materials and includes recycled fasteners, so even if it is eventually discarded due to age, it can easily decompose. This next-generation bottom is an eco-versatile trouser that can be converted from a trouser to shorts, a waistcoat, and a long-sleeved jacket. Additionally, its removable pocket can also function as a handbag.

This trouser is almost entirely joined with zippers where seams would normally be, making it easy to transform. On the waistband, there are zippers for each part of the trouser, which can be closed for ones on the same position to create a shoulder. The zippers on the side open and match to their corresponding cut piece, these are the two trouser front piece and two back piece, some become the jacket front and others become the back. The zippers where they are zipped are the centers of the top garment. The crotch becomes armholes and the lower part of the trouser becomes the sleeves for the jacket." The following is transformation steps:

Step 1: Remove the lower part of the trousers and the side pockets to create shorts.

Step 2: Open the crotch zipper and side zippers.

Step 3: Match the side piece zipper of the front right part with the side piece zipper of the front left part to create the center front of the waistcoat. This is done by replacing these parts. One goes on one side of another, and then zip up. You do the same on the back part zipper pieces to create the center back of the waistcoat. Remember not to zip up until to the top so that it will be easy to have the neckline.

Step 4: Match what were the zippers on the waistband of the trousers to create shoulders. Zip up the zipper pieces in the same direction. Automatically, what was once the crotch becomes the armholes. Then, attach pockets where snap fasteners sockets are located. Now you have a waistcoat or sleeveless jacket. Remember not to zip up until to the cone so that it will be easy to have the neckline.

Step 5: Take what was once the lower part of the trousers and attach them on the armholes of the waistcoat by zipping them up to become sleeves. Now you have a long-sleeved jacket.
