About me¶

Hi! I am Ernest Kimani, an Electrical Engineer by training. Having been in and around Fablabs and Makerspaces since 2008, I have expanded my skills and knowledge to great extent. I am an innovator at heart, always looking for new ways to use existing technologies.

What makes me tick...¶

I love testing new technologies and pushing the boundaries of the existing ones. I am aslo very passionate about mentoring the next generation of innovators, hence my involvement with several Hackathons where I primarily take students through various prototyping processes.

Previous work¶

I have previously worked as the manager at Fablab Nairobi - Makerspace. During this period, I supervised, as the Lead Engineer, the development of various medical equipment. The project was a partnership seeking to locally design, fabricate, test and manufacture medical equipment in Kenya for the Kenyan market.
