Hi! I am Heaven Whitby. I am a Fab Lab director & multidisciplinary designer based in Middle Georgia working on expanding access to future of work based TECH education, community impact through design, and storytellng._ Visit my website to see other works or listen to my audio introduction here:

My background

I was raised in a very small town in Georgia, USA and chose to follow in my Mother's example and attend Howard University in Washington, DC. I became a mother during college where I studied Maternal and Child Community Health Education.

Previous work

I grew up watching my mother, an architect, design and build schools in my community, and spent my free time building computers with my father, a computer engineer. I began my public deign journey as a photographer for a small magazine at Howard University's infamous homecoming events. From there I expanded my skills in photography, and editing into web design and eventually into hand drafting fashion patterns. Those patterns became a new note in the song of my journey through my identity as a designer. As a Fab Lab Director, I enjoy intertwining my design aspirations with the future of human experience through technology.I look forward to exploring all of the above throguh Fabricademy.
