About me¶
My name is Innocent Iradukunda, and I’m a passionate garment professional from Rwanda. I have more than five years of experience in garment making, cutting, and production management. I currently work as a Cutting Manager at DIKAM Ltd, where I supervise the cutting department, make sure the quality is high, and train my team to work efficiently.
I studied Fashion Design at IPRC Kigali, and I have strong skills in pattern making, sewing, and using digital fashion tools like CLO3D, CorelDRAW, and Garber. I also have experience teaching and training others in sewing and garment production.
I’m very passionate about fashion, creativity, and improving quality in garment production. In my free time, I enjoy playing football, weaving, and repairing electronic tools..
🧵 My Background¶
I am a passionate and result-oriented Fashion Designer with more than five years of experience in the garment and textile industry. My background combines fashion design, pattern making, garment construction, and production management, allowing me to bridge creativity with technical precision. I hold a Diploma in Fashion Design from IPRC Kigali and an A2 Certificate in Tailoring from Cyondo TVET School, supported by strong computer-aided design (CAD) skills in CorelDRAW, CLO3D, and Gerber Accumark. Over the years, I have developed deep expertise in industrial sewing operations, fabric quality control, and digital fashion visualization. Beyond design and production, I am also experienced in training and leadership, having delivered tailoring and pattern drafting courses to students and trainees, and served as a Technical Committee Member at the Rwanda Standards Board (RSB) for the textiles and accessories sector. I am passionate about merging technology with creativity to design sustainable, high-quality garments and to contribute to Rwanda’s growing fashion and textile industry.

PATTERN JURNARY¶
drafting the pattern, where the shape of each garment part such as the front, back, sleeve, and collar is created on paper or computer.
CAD PATTERNS¶
modern method of creating garment patterns using special software instead of drawing by hand. With programs like Gerber AccuMark, CLO3D, and CorelDRAW, edit, and grade patterns quickly and accurately on a computer. This method helps save time, reduce paper use, and avoid human errors. Patterns can be easily stored, shared, and printed for production. Computer pattern making also allows 3D visualization — meaning designers can see how a garment will look and fit on a digital model before cutting the fabric. It makes the whole garment production process faster, more precise, and more professional.
