01 Concept | Gratitude Loom¶
5 Ws who, what, when, where, why¶
who¶
Gratitude Loom is for beginner and hobby weavers who want a creative practice that supports mindfulness, reflection, and a slower relationship with technology.
what¶
It is an interactive weaving system that combines a 4-shaft loom with sensors and simple AI to guide a gratitude ritual and unlock pattern structures through mindful action.
when¶
It is used during short, intentional weaving sessions as a daily or weekly ritual.
where¶
It can be used at home, in studios, or in shared creative and wellness spaces.
why¶
In a world that moves fast and values efficiency, this project looks at how mindful movement and conscious spoken gratitude can turn weaving into a slow and meaningful ritual. Patterns are unlocked through attention, and the woven material records the traces of the ritual.
how¶
Users speak gratitude and weave by hand while the system tracks key steps in the process and offers gentle guidance. New pattern structures are introduced only after each ritual cycle is completed mindfully.
