3. Circular Open Source Fashion¶
Research & Ideation¶
This topic excites me because the possibilities are endless. I appreciate that there are different ways to re-think within an industry and innovate to become something sustainable. That's why I believe it's essential to keep experimenting and discover new interpretations.
I took inspiration from a few images on Pinterest, both aesthetically and for interlocking modules.

- Paco Rabbane Disc Mini Crossbody Bag

Since Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) was approaching in Mexico, I sought to incorporate that theme into a design. Every year, my family sets up an altar to remember those who are no longer with us. We usually place food, like fruit, as an 'ofrenda' (offering). Following that line of thought, I came up with the idea of making an ornamental fruit basket for the altar, featuring 'papel picado' motifs (an element also traditionally used in the offering).

Remember to credit/reference all your images to their authors. Open source helps us create change faster together, but we all deserve recognition for what we make, design, think, develop.
-
remember to resize and optimize all your images. You will run out of space and the more data, the more servers, the more cooling systems and energy wasted :) make a choice at every image :)
This image is optimised in size with resolution 72 and passed through tinypng for final optimisation. Remove tips when you don't need them anymore!

footnote fabrication files
Fabrication files are a necessary element for evaluation. You can add the fabrication files at the bottom of the page and simply link them as a footnote. This was your work stays organised and files will be all together at the bottom of the page. Footnotes are created using [ ^ 1 ] (without spaces, and referenced as you see at the last chapter of this page) You can reference the fabrication files to multiple places on your page as you see for footnote nr. 2 also present in the Gallery.
