About SESONGA¶
SESONGA is a bespoke and made-to-measure clothing brand that I founded almost two years ago. The brand focuses on suits and dresses, mainly for weddings and ceremonial occasions. We design and make each piece to fit the client’s body, personality, and the importance of the moment they are dressing for. Clients come to SESONGA because they want something personal, well-crafted, and meaningful—not mass-produced. Our work combines modern tailoring with strong attention to detail and quality finishing
On average, we serve around 80–120 clients per year, depending on the season. Making one bespoke suit usually takes 7 to 14 days, including fittings and finishing. I work with six permanent tailors, and for large orders—especially during wedding seasons—I outsource to trusted artisans. Most of our fabrics are sourced locally when possible, and we also import specific materials to meet client preferences. SESONGA is built on craftsmanship, collaboration, and creating garments that last beyond one occasion
Why, What, Who, When, Where?¶
why¶
This project connects experimental design with my fashion brand, SESONGA. I wanted to create unique accessories for wedding dresses and suits while using the kind of innovative thinking seen in Fabricademy student projects.
what¶
Am designing and 3D printed ornaments, accessories, and buttons for wedding outfits.
who¶
This project is created by me as a Fabricademy student and the founder of SESONGA. It is made for brides, grooms, designers, and tailors who want unique, modern details for wedding dresses and suits, and for anyone who values locally made, innovative fashion.
when¶
The project grew from my weekly Fabricademy assignments. Each module helped me test ideas in 3D modeling, printing, and design, which all came together in the final project.
where¶
The project is based in Fabricademy and in Rwanda, where SESONGA is made. It mixes global digital tools with local fashion needs for weddings and formal wear.
