Research & Ideation¶
My inspiration to join Fabricademy comes from my deep love for creating and exploring how design and technology can come together. I’ve always been passionate about crafting turning simple materials into something meaningful and beautiful. When I discovered Fabricademy, it felt like a space that connects everything I love creativity, innovation, and making with purpose. I’m inspired by how the program focuses on textiles, sustainability, and technology, which are all things I want to grow in. I see it as a chance to expand my knowledge, experiment more freely, and create designs that can also inspire and empower other women who share the same passion for digital craft and design

In this assignment, I reflected on what inspired me to join Fabricademy and what I wanted to explore during the program. I joined Fabricademy because I am interested in craft and textiles, and I wanted to learn more about how to work with textile materials in creative and meaningful ways.
At the beginning, my ideas were not very clear. I knew I wanted to explore textile craft, and I also had ideas about creating products in the future, but I was not sure which products I wanted to make. My ideas were still open and evolving.
As I continued working on the weekly assignments and learning new skills, I started to understand the course better. Step by step, my ideas became clearer. The more I learned, the more I understood what I really wanted to focus on.
Because of this, I decided to come back and update this assignment later. After going through several courses, I was able to clearly define the idea I want to develop during Fabricademy. This shows how my project is growing together with my learning process
References & Inspiration¶
My inspiration for joining Fabricademy comes from my interest in producing leather textile products using digital fabrication. I already work with digital fabrication, and I wanted to apply these skills to textile technology, especially with soft materials like leather.
Before joining the program, I was already interested in leather-based products such as bags, shoes, and other crafted items. Leather became one of my main references because of its durability, flexibility, and strong connection to craft.
Through Fabricademy, I want to explore how digital tools—such as pattern design and digital cutting—can be used to create functional and well-designed leather products. My goal is to combine digital fabrication techniques with traditional leather craft, and turn this into meaningful textile products.
The inspiration images included represent different leather products, forms, and craft techniques that guide my design direction and future projects
The molding process shown in the image above is also something I am very interested in exploring. It inspires me to understand how molding works, how materials behave during the process, and how this technique can be applied to future projects. I am interested in experimenting with this method later in the program and possibly using it to develop new product ideas.

Documentation workflow¶
I accessed my website project by logging into GitLab through a web browser and opening the main repository. Using the GitLab online editor, I edited the necessary files directly on the platform and checked the changes before saving them. Once everything was updated, I added a clear commit message and committed the changes to the main branch, completing the update fully online.
Step 1¶
I signed into GitLab through a web browser and opened my website project from the dashboard. Before making any changes, I confirmed that I was working on the main branch of the repository. I then used the GitLab online editor to open and edit the required files directly in the browser. After reviewing the updates, I wrote a clear commit message and committed the changes to the main branch, completing the entire process online.
Step 2¶
I signed into GitLab through a web browser and opened my website project from the dashboard, making sure I was working on the main branch. Using the GitLab online editor, I opened the necessary website files and updated the content directly on the platform. I reviewed the changes to ensure everything was accurate before saving them. Finally, I added a clear commit message and committed the updates to the main branch, completing the process entirely online.
Step 3¶
I logged into GitLab via a web browser, opened my website project, and confirmed I was on the main branch. I edited the necessary files using the online editor, reviewed the changes, wrote a clear commit message, and committed the updates, successfully saving and applying them to the website.
