Welcome to my Fabricademy 2026 documentation page a digital portfolio recording my weekly assignments, projects, and experiments throughout the program.

👤 About Me

My name is Wendosen Seife Haile, born and raised in a rural part of Ethiopia in a family engaged in agriculture. Growing up in a modest but resourceful environment taught me to value craft, creativity, and sustainability from an early age. I excelled academically, scoring 99.5/100 in 8th grade and a perfect 4.0/4.0 in 10th grade, achievements that opened the path to higher education.
I earned both my Bachelor of Science in Garment Engineering and Master of Science in Fashion Technology from Bahir Dar University, graduating with High Honors (GPA 3.99/4). These milestones reflect not only academic excellence but also my lifelong passion for education, innovation, and sustainable development.
Currently, I work as a Lecturer and Researcher at the Ethiopian Institute of Textile and Fashion Technology (EiTEX), Bahir Dar University, where I teach, conduct research, and mentor students in fashion engineering and digital design. Alongside my academic career, I also serve as a Director at Hamra Garment Manufacturing S.C, contributing to strategic planning, production efficiency, and sustainable business operations.

Motivation and Goals

I joined Fabricademy 2026 to explore how digital fabrication, biomaterials, and circular design systems can transform fashion education and production in Africa.
My goals are to:

Experiment with biofabrication, biochromes, and computational couture.

Develop open-source tools that promote sustainability and inclusivity.

Strengthen Ethiopia’s fashion innovation ecosystem through research-driven design and digital education.

Ultimately, I aspire to create eco-conscious design solutions that blend local heritage with global technology, building a bridge between traditional craftsmanship and future-oriented design.

Thank you for visiting my page a journey merging craft, computation, and sustainability in fashion design.
