FAILS¶
Another problem came out when I had to decide the material to use. In ended up using a stiff denim.
The problems now are:
// Denim is too "smooth/soft" to stay interlocked
// I have some scale issues with the pockets as well. Maybe I'll think for another clousure system.
// Stay tuned for more experiments! ;)
// UPDATE: I rebuilt the pockets and strings out of PIÑATEX, that is a natural leather alternative made from cellulose fibres extracted from pineapple leaves, PLA (polylactic acid), and petroleum-based resin. This "leather" helped me out with this modular vest, because works better than using only denim. The only thing with Piñatex is that you can't properly engrave it. So I decide to use to a white marker to enhance the engraved design. I'm still not satisfied with this material composition, because I want to use more biomaterials combined with natural fibers.
