Ingredients & Recipes¶
* 1L water
* 10% sugar
* Tea : quantity will be different of the color
* 1 strain of scoby
* Vinegar for ph
* Alcohol to sterilize
* 3L of water
* 400g sugar
* 8,4g black tea
* 10L water
* 1kg sugar
* 25g Green tea
The sugar food of kombucha! Possible to put beer or wine. Do not touch or move the kombucha when it is in the container. Best temperature between 25 and 30° (warmer, it grows faster). Kombucha: tea and seaweed (in Japan) kombu = seaweed. Can be used as a medicine or cosmetic...
* Sterilized
* Mesured
* Boiled water + sugar
* Add tea
* Wait need to be cold or middle temperature
* Put the scoby in the contender
* Add the preparation of tea
* Add vinegar, for having **2,5 - 3,5 of pH**
* Cover it with hermetic tissu, coton is good !
* Wait of the baby grow
Tips: Two layers of fabrics when you make it by ourself kombucha
Finally when you take care of where you work and not mixing the different microbial experiences in the same room is ok. For the kombucha scoby I remark, when I put two layers of cloth on top of the jar, it doesn't get moldy. Compare to one. In the previous experience at home I just using one but I think in the lab with others biomaterials running arround we need two for be sure.
