Hybrid¶

Making hybrid is inspire by the work of Elise Elsacker and exchange with Lauriane Beaumont. Lauriane work and collect wool for her final project and we would like to see how will be react with the SCOBY. My aim is to test the combination with SCOBY, Mycelium for see how it's possible to change the proprieties. The SCOBY have this advantage to be soft, solid and possible to change the color. The Mycelium is solid, deperlant of water.

Test 1 - Scoby Wool¶

Make a first layer with the SCOBY mixed in the plastic container.
Add wool and qunatity wanted of colors on the top on it. 
Add some glycerol on it for making it softner when it's drying.

Test 1.2 : Mix wool - 03/02/2023 to the 13/02/2023¶

Mix the SCOBY mixed with wool and qunatity wanted of colors. 
Add the mixture on the absorbant fabric for drying.
Add some glycerol on it for making it softner when it's drying.

Test 1 - Scoby X Mycelium X Coffee Grains : 02/2023 to the 04/2023¶

Notes : Ustensils, material and space have to be sterilized during all the process.

recipe

Mix the SCOBY of Kombucha mixed with the coffee ground sterilized in a plastic box. 
Add some part of the mycelium on it. 
Close the box with the cover
Add the box inside the Aquarium heater system
Wait till the mycelium grow
