aristarco's journey¶
Hi, I am Aristarco and this is my journey through the 2024/25 Fabricademy universe. I am participating at Fab Lab Puebla in Mexico, the largest makerspace in the world inside the Design, Innovation, and Tech Institute at Iberoamericana University in the beautiful city of Puebla, Mexico.
Below you can follow my step-by-step journey, where learn new things every week with each assignment. Discovering new things that are shaping our future.
The goal of my final project is to use Fabricademy tools and knowledge to develop a circular, locally produced, profitable, tech-enhanced DFM piece of garment. And hopefully launch a small run before July 2025.

About me¶
I am a mechanical-electric engineer with MBA studies and aspiring polymath. I have over 30 years of working experience in different sectors, such as industry, government, and universities. I am an entrepreneur, in love with fabrication processes, Fab Academy alumni, and hard-core Maker. After being director of the biggest makerspace in the world, the Innovation, Design, and Technology Institute, IDIT, at the Jesuit Iberoamericana University of Puebla, Mexico, today I develop entrepreneurial tech, social and innovation projects.

Previous work¶
Illuminated Fabric¶
I love making stuff. In my work, all the things we do are related to design and manufacture prototypes, mainly for the industry and for SMEs. Here are a couple projects I love.
The project is a piece of fabric ideated and designed to have the light embeded INSIDE the fabric.
In the presentation you can see how it was made

Digital ceramics¶
Ceramics has become one of my obsessions. I have developed several techniques to improve repeatability and design in the ceramics-making process.
In the presentation you can see some of the things we have made at Fab Lab Puebla
