13. Implications and applications¶
π Research & Ideation¶
Here, you can see some stunning references that I truly admire and find inspiring.
π Scientific Sources¶
For the scientific sources in my project, I will reference the works of Hranush Kharatyan and Lusik Aguletsi, both of whom have made significant contributions to Armenian cultural studies and folk art. These resources will be key in enriching my projectβs themes and cultural context.
1. π Hranush Kharatyan¶
I will utilize Hranush Kharatyan's book Armenian National Holidays, which provides an in-depth exploration of Armenian traditions, customs, and cultural rituals. This resource will help contextualize the folk myths, symbols, and practices associated with Armenian national holidays, which are key to understanding the cultural elements in my project. The book is an essential foundation for exploring Armenian folklore and will influence the design and themes in my work.

2. π¨ Lusik Aguletsi¶
Lusik Aguletsi, renowned for her preservation of Armenian folk art, particularly through her dolls and textiles, will also be a central figure in my research. Her works embody the traditions of Armenian craftsmanship, and I will refer to the book Armenian Festive and Ceremonial Culture Based on the Works of Lusik Aguletsi by Nazik Armenakyan. This book offers insights into the significance of Armenian ceremonial customs and Aguletsi's unique approach to cultural preservation, which will inform the visual storytelling in my project.

Community & Cultural Engagement ππ¨¶
As part of the Ultra-personalized Product-Service System (APPS), this project will actively involve the community and encourage cultural sharing. π¬β¨
Social Sharing πΈ¶
Users will have the opportunity to share their personalized experiences with the book on social media platforms. Whether it's showcasing the jewelry pieces they've ordered, sharing moments from the augmented reality features, or interacting with the bookβs pages, this aspect will help build a passionate community around Armenian culture.
By integrating social media sharing features, users will be able to connect and engage with others who share their love for Armenian folklore and art. π
User-Generated Content π¶
Another exciting feature is User-Generated Content. Users can submit their own interpretations of Armenian myths or create new stories inspired by the existing folklore in the book. These submissions will be voted on by the community, and the most popular ones could even be included in future editions of the book! π
This collaboration ensures that the project remains dynamic and evolves over time, incorporating fresh perspectives from a global community of creators. π
Personalization at Different Levels¶
Material Level
- I will prioritize eco-friendly materials in the project, offering users sustainable options for creating their book. The use of natural dyes, biodegradable fabrics, and recyclable packaging will be integral, aligning with the project's commitment to sustainability.
Experience Level
- I will design the book to offer an interactive experience, incorporating augmented reality, embedded lighting, and interactive pages. This will bring Armenian folklore to life in a more immersive way, creating a dynamic and engaging reading experience.
Cultural Level
- I will reinterpret Armenian myths and folklore in a modern context, enabling a broader, global audience to connect with Armeniaβs rich cultural heritage. By doing so, I hope to create a universal appeal while preserving the depth and authenticity of Armenian traditions.
