Thermoadesive vinyl Expirement

I was inspired by the Arabic calligraphy and wanted to experiment a bit with that.

Started by sketching my calligraphy ( My name) on baking sheet and cut it . I moved into sndwitching it between two layers of thermoadesive vinyl making sure the shiny side is on the outside.

Then I heat pressed it for 30 seconds on each side under a tempreture of 130 degrees.

I peeled the protective layer and added a tube to start testing

I tested it by manually blowing it and it worked great.

Silicone Expirement

For this experiment, I was inspired by the 4 petal flowers than at one point might be represented by embroidery and stitches as this my life passion.

I started by drawing the mold parts using Rhino for which I printed to Trotec and laser cut it as seen on 3mm Acrylic sheet. I peeled the pieces and glued them using Cloroform making sure my mask and gloves are on. After some time I used vaseline to protect the silicone from sticking in the mold.

I started the mixing of Silicone ( Ecoflex 00-30 ). The ratio is 1:1 . I mixed well for 4 min and then poured into the molds. Shaking the molds to get rid of bubbles. Left it for a full day to finish . After peeling from the mold I washed it with soap and then glued the two pieces together using the same material.

At one point I noticed that I glued it the wrong way . So i reglued it to cover all the neede areas to be stuck together.

After reglueing the righ way I tested it and ended up with a result I am happy with
