Implications and applications

During this week you are called to start working on your final project proposal that you will be developing from January to March.

Background

Architecture + textiles

Explore textile in architecture: a lightweight structure, modular and transformable, sustainable and adaptable to the social and urban context that surrounds it.

Technology + craftwork

At first, I wanted to try to 3d print Ñanduti, a national craftwork of Paraguay, but after talking with my remote instructor, Angela Barbour, it's better to use technology to empower small businesses passionate about their craft by providing them with tools to make their jobs easier instead of replace the job with a plastic replica.

Augnmented Reality + textiles

Augmented reality applied to textiles and how can that reshape the value proposition of clothing or added value.

This week I worked on defining my final project idea. We did a Workshop to help clear all the possible proposal that we might have. Here's the miro board:

From the beggining there were three topics that catch my attention. I couldn't just pick one. Those topics were : digital + heritage craftwomanship; fashion design; virtual and augmented life.

After reviewing the value chain canvas I pick the most interesting takes for me, which were the following:

Stakeholders

My final project is a clothing piece, which means its "end users" are individuals that are part of a community or a family. It challenges topics like product lifetime, mass production and customisation.

Customer Journey

Ultra-personalised product service systems

Here is a generic vision of the proposal as an ultra personalized product(UPPS). This means that each customer is able to configure his or her personal product perfectly adjusted to the needs on base of personal data.
