About Me
About me¶

Hola! My name is Diana. I am from Monterrey in the north of Mexico, a semi-desertic area surrounded by mountains a couple of hours from the border with the USA. I studied a bachelors in International Business, then a Postgraduate in Innovation and have been working in tech as a project and product manager. I have always wanted to be a designer so I am currently pursuing a 2 year fashion design program. I want to discover different approaches to fashion and textiles as an alternative to the current fashion industry which has a lot of challenges in terms of sustainability and human rights.
Previous work¶
Modarte Fashion Show 2022¶
Final course project: recreate a look and build a moodboard based on it. Inspired by the arid landscapes of Monterrey and its flora (cacti), the look brings color to an otherwise desserted area when the cacti flowers bloom in summer. Original design by classygownss.com

iFashion 1st semester work 2024¶
Patternmaking for childrens clothing featuring basic skirts, circle skirts, pleated skirts, basic blouses, dresses. 2nd semester is focused on women's clothing at scale (in progress)

PlantasNativas MX (in progress)¶
A directory of trees, flowers and other plants that are native to the northern east part of Mexico. The aim is to make information readily accessible for the population to take action against deforestation in the area and climate change. I used Lovable AI to quickly prototype different designs and Supabase for the database.
