1. Datasheet Pinout for Attiny 45/85
The first step undertaken was to make a general schematic for ths week. After weighing the pros and cons of whether of not to persue PCB milling with skin electronics, I opted to try my hand on Conductive ink to make the schematic by hand.
So , after some datasheet reading,I opted for the attiny 45 and decided to use its Pin 5,6 and 7 as my Red green and blue's vcc lines and Pin 2 for LDR readings.
The datasheet made can be found under downloads section at the bottom of this page. -
2. Layer 1 (Soft Skin)+ Layer 2 (Double sided Paper tape)
For my soft skin, I chose a double sided papertape that would stick onto my skin and the other side of which would be a PVA plastic soft sheet.
The reason of choice for such a base was that on peeling off from the skin, the tape needs to adhere strongly with the second base in order for it to help come off the skin easily without fighting the other surfaces. -
3. Layer 3 (Conductive ink) (bottomview)
In the image you can see the bottom side of the layer after i drew its schematic with a conductive pen. Once it is to be mounted on to the skin, the white layer will be peeled off by the end user.
Further notice, two lines-GND and VCC. This swatch needs to be connected to the power line of a 3 v button cell battery. -
4. Layer 4 (Components)
Now comes the masterstroke (in my own world during my imagination conversation with my pet dog.)
Masterstroke Really?? :
The conductive ink is on one side of double sided tape. It does two functions-absorb excess ink to retain it from overflowing on the sides and second to easily help push down smd components as they stick immedaitely on the traces. Once mounted i just tap the edges with a little more conductive thread bedore proceedind to seal it. -
5. Layer 5 (White Vinyl)
Next up: Check continuity and thereafter seal the exposed areas of the double side with vinly (after peeling off vinly's protective covering to expose its sticky side too). And now we have a perfect seal with only components we want to keep exposed as exposed and remaining getting hidden.

7. Test subject
No this is not how it is to be mounted. Nishtha forced me to mount it on to her. Honestly, looks more like a medical eye-patch than what i intended it to be. It will instead be mounted as a patch to the turban composite done during textile composite week. Therefore, I dont plan to cut it into any shape as well.

I usually ask the Global team or myself questions relevant to the week's task.I plan to use this section to help me document for our lab's next batch of students important questions and their answers discussed during Global review/Recitation.
Objectives | Tasks at hand
Am taking my E-textiles assignment of RGB with an LDR as it seemed apt for this week too.
UPDATE:
After programming the attiny with an arduino, the focus is now to create a fictional moment wherein a far far land away, when it turns dark, the pirate comes alive and his one good eye opens and turns evil with multiple colors. After showing 9 colors it again falls asleep. When the sun comes down(light falls below 400 in Analog in), the pirate again wakes up. Arghhhh!!!
