Story telling / script¶
I put myself in situation of wearing the blanket on my back before I make my first one.
Script¶
The symbol of the blanket interests me because it protects, we wrap ourselves in it, it warms and comforts. It's your own private space, bedroom (Virginia Woolf). But you can also decide to change it, as we can change our lives, starting over. But the mind and body never really forget everything even if time flies and erodes.
Paradoxically, the cover hides your inner self, showing what you decide to show at a certain moment. it is a shell, a protection, a skin. We hide and show at the same time. But, even though things change, if we look at all the layers together, we see a map, an identity that is unique and defines who we are. Who am I.
My video is not going to show me working on the different layers of blankets. I wish more of the continuation of my work, in a visual and graphic way. It will be the last layer, like if there is no more materials in the end, only images, emotions, sensations and souvenirs. It could be a nostalgia, or inbetween the dream and the reality.

Storyboard¶
Opening : poem « I have a story »
Melt into images, Sequence of images over blending, layering, disappearing and reapprearing. These are all the images chosen to make the blends :
Ending : the voice says : « now you know, who you are. And who I am. »
I work on After Effect software to achieve these effects of layering.
Music inspiration : Vangelis¶
Vangelis Papathanassiou album "L'apocalypse des animaux" is my main music inspiration for this project. There are etheral synth pads, morphing all music long, very slowly. This is the kind of music I wish I had onto my melted images.
"Voices"
Another one from him is the Blade Runner (1982) soundtrack, where the notion of identity (real and fake), are developped in this movie so it gives a more rooted link as a global inspiration.
For this part, I asked a friend who is ok to work on the soundtrack of my video. We will work together as soon as I get moving images.

Exhibition¶
At the time I decided I wanted to make an artwork and declare myself as an textile artist, the end and concretisation of it would be to be exhibited. That's why I worked a lot even after the experiences , to be able to show my art as if it was mandated for a solo exhibition.
