Hello! My name is Izzy aka Gh0re.grl! Through this work, I have explored the body as a site of resilience, autonomy, and refusal. I am now seeking to translate this ethos into functional, material systems through fashion technology. I believe posthumanist ideals offer a necessary alternative to subcultural ethos, which have beccome increasingly absorbed into capitalist production and social norms, a trend accelerated by our post-internet landscape. As former methods of resistance are reshaped under technology, it becomes vital to prevent technology from functioning solely as an oligopolistic force. Through this work, I aim to assert that the body is not simply a site of self-expression but a lived reality: one that shapes both the limits and possibilities of our experience.

My Background & Previous Work

I have previously channeled my explorations through body modifcation and performance. My deep love for the rebellious and mutative heart of Western body modification culture led me to develop modes of world building where I have explored the potential of form through fantasy, grotesque and piercing. Here is an example of each!

IRON STREAM (PERFORMANCE, 2026)

The installation of Salvador Marino IRON STREAM was activated through performance, where bodies and machines entered a shared system of circulation. Led by Gh0re.grl, visitors were invited to participate in a blood donation, connecting their bodies directly to the Blood Draw Machine. Blood, tubes and valves formed a temporary circuit: with the press of a button, extraction was automated by the draw machine. After the withdrawal, the blood is redistrubuted into a central collector, where a magnetic system keeps it in constant motion. Circulation as mechanism, mechanism as labour.

PONY PLAY (FANTASY, 2025)


"it's erotic but that term has a different meaning for everyone on the planet. I love feeling his weight on my back, his hands guiding me, his hips moving when I move, hearing him breathing and feeling him lift up when I buck. I prefer bareback but even with a saddle it's wonderful in a different sense. With a saddle the leather smell is there, the creaking of the saddle tree, the thump of the stirrups against my sides, and feeling him stand up in the stirrups and knowing I can support him. It's nirvana"

PIERCED CIRCUITS (BODY MODIFICATION, 2024)


Experimenting with sub-dermal electric current and temporary electronic modifications, I created the first pierced circuitry in collaboration with artist Joe George.
