Anatomy of Fashion: Blood, Sweat, and Tears¶
Acknowledgment¶
From the start, this work was viewed through an editorial and conceptual lens. It is presented as a polished and prepared visual result rather than serving as a literal documentation of the process. The focus is on creating a controlled visual language that reflects the polished nature of fashion and the final stage of creation.
The focus is on transformation, even though the project is based on concepts of work, discipline, and the realities of "blood, sweat, and tears." Each garment is a beautiful outcome of something that is frequently emotionally and physically taxing. The piece carries difficulty, transforming it into form, texture, and structure rather than ignoring it.
Elements of the process are present through selective and metaphorical moments. References to blood, bandages, and gauze exist as controlled glimpses, as do actions like sewing, cutting, and ironing. These moments are meant to depict the tension, repetition, and perseverance that come with the act of making rather than to capture every step.
As a result, the process exists but is filtered.
By using this method, the work exists in a zone where intensity and refinement coexist, in which something unseen and raw is transformed into a finished shape that is both composed and emotionally charged.
