Final Project3

WEEK 3: From January 23 - January 29

This week was mostly dedicated to work with Rhino and Grasshopper. This week I had to produce a small mesh to test the materials that I have already defined as the possible ones to use. It has been difficult but I'm making progress. The fabricademy tutorials have been very useful.

Test1 Rhino-Grasshopper

This was the first mesh I made using a Voronoi structure. 10 x 10 cm.

The Grasshopper track

The Grasshopper track to make this mesh.

Using BooleanUnion I was able to convert the mesh into a single solid.

Test2 Rhino-Grasshopper

With the same result I made a rounded version to make it more tubular. With this last one is that I will do the tests.

General Research

Actions

This is an analysis of the postures of the accessories on the body. Images 1 and 2 show examples of the natural posture when we walk with our bags. In images 1a and 2a is the posture that many people adopt before riding public transportation to secure their bags.

This is an analysis of the points of the body where it would be more feasible to place the piece I am proposing. In the second image, are the most feasible positions with respect to the amount and type of accessories that people carry.

Thinking

Some sketches thinking that maybe I should try solutions not only in 3D but also using the laser cut to create a design that can be assembled, even disposable and customizable by the consumer.
