how is what you will start defining in your process pages
who¶
The project is designed for influencers, celebrities, or anyone in the public eye in need of one-time looks for photoshoots and red carpet events. The designs are geared toward bold trendsetters, who express themselves through fashion, who are not constricted to the masculine/feminine binaries within fashion.
what¶
Colorful, playful, naturally dyed-bio plastic garments, designed to be worn minimally to return safely to the earth when are no longer in use.
when¶
Now, currently, in response to our societies obession with overconsumption, shopping, and always having something "new".
where¶
Here in Barcelona and globally. Designed for one-time photoshoots and events.
why¶
The project is created in direct response to the rise of wear-it-once culture, where people are wearing their clothing less and buying and disgarding their clothing more. Heavily influence by social media, celebrities, and fast fashion trend cycles, on average people wear their clothing 7-10 times before they toss them, greatly contributing to the 92 million tonnes of textile waste generated globally every eyear. This project seeks to design for this wear-it-once throw away culture, desiging new textiles that can decompose safely into the earth once they are no longer wanted or needed anymore.
