Hi! I am Marcela, a visual artist with a master's degree in Industrial Design. My work focuses on exploring the intricate relationships between technology and the body. I’m passionate about the ways these elements intersect, influencing identity, perception, and social behavior.

My background

  • PhD in Cultural Historiography (In Progress)
    My research explores the historical and cultural development of information technology in Mexico, seeking to understand how technological processes shape — and are shaped by — social contexts.

  • Master’s Degree in Industrial Design
    Trained in structured qualitative and quantitative research methods, with a strong emphasis on analysis, critical thinking, and applied knowledge in real-world contexts.

  • Led ethnographic and design research courses, cultivating meaningful and respectful learning environments built on trust and collaboration.
  • Designed and facilitated course experiences aimed at motivating students, strengthening their critical perspective, and encouraging thoughtful, empathetic approaches to design practice.
