II. Bringing together the maker/hacker/bioart community

This is how I thought of bringing makers/hackers and bioartists interested in the concept of the OPEN SOURCE BODY together: through posting in the Hacteria.org forum! I have added a screenshot of my post below. The post is quite vague but a lot of people got in touch with me.

Hackteria.org forum: Open Source Biological Art Bi-weekly meetings

Hackteria.org is a forum on Open source Biological Art that I have been following for a while now. So I made a post about my project in the forum to express need for people to collaborate with and to share technical and other kind of knowledge on DIY Biology.

bioart coven meetings

Apart from my new hackteria family I have my witchy bioart family too since 2020! The bioart coven is a feminist bioart collective in the intersection of witchcraft and art. My project is a love child of this group and our meetings.

The group is lead by WhiteFeather Hunter who taught me how to make my own inoculation loops, how to make my own petri dishes from glass jars and bottles and how to make DIY nutriend agar recipes.

I also presented my project to my bioart group during the midterm presentation and I got some amazing feedback from everyone that attended.
