01 PPD. Review on Workflow - GANTT#

January, 17th & 18th, 2022

The objective of this session is to present updates and further research conducted by participants over the winter break, for the development of the final project. The research advances are presented accompanied by a Gantt chart proposal that illustrates the schedule for the project development, a daily diary to monitor the advances and the timeline of activities with their dependency relationships. It is suggested to plan and propose in advance the machine use and technical support needed from experts. Collaborative online tools, templates and guidelines are provided for the facilitation of the project planning preparation.

Assignment#

  • Set up your final project page
  • Document the concept, sketches, artistic and scientific references
  • Create a GANTT chart (planning calendar)
  • Answer the 5W: Who, What, When, Where, Why
  • Create a quick prototype of it. (physical, digital, collage or render)

How will it be evaluated#

  • References: concept development, research, where does the project innovate
  • Design: mood board, sketches/preliminary designs
  • Documentation: Who, What, When, Where, Why
  • Fabrication: simple quick prototypes or (material) samples if coherent
  • Final outcome: Personal Final Project page, sketch of a project planning and first Gantt chart
  • Originality - Aesthetics: Has the design and innovation been thought through and elaborated? Student checklist
